Wir suchen ein engagiertes Talent für unser Internal Servies Team. Tausende von virtuellen und physischen Server sind täglich in Betrieb. Dafür ist eine optimale Überwachung der Infrastruktur essenziell.
Neben der Überwachungsinfrastruktur betreiben wir noch weitere interne Systeme mit spannenden Herrausforderungen und wachsenden Möglichkeiten diese zu optimieren.
Werde Teil eines starken Teams, das sowohl remote innerhalb Deutschlands, als auch von unserem Büro in München (Unterföhring) aus, unsere Systeme weiter entwickelt.

Deine Aufgaben

Als DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) arbeitest du direkt am Herzen unserer Infrastruktur, welche Metriken, Logs und Traces für die Hetzner Cloud und interne Systemen bereitstellt. Diese verbesserst du mit deinem Wissen und deinen Ideen kontinuierlich weiter.
Du weißt, wie wichtig Automatisierung bei komplexen und verteilten Systemen ist und hast Spaß daran, diese zu implementieren und zu betreiben. Darüber hinaus beinhaltet diese Stelle eine regelmäßige Bereitschaft zur Sicherstellung des zuverlässigen Betriebs aller bereitgestellten Dienste. Was erwarten wir dafür konkret von dir?

Entwicklung von Toolings zur Verbesserung und Automatisierung der bestehenden internen Infrastruktur.
Optimierung und Verbesserung unseres Infrastruktur, welche Metriken, Logs und Traces für die Hetzner Cloud und interne Systemen bereitstellt.
Kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung unserer Kubernetes-Infrastruktur und anderer interner Systeme.
Du sorgst dafür, dass unsere internen Services zuverlässig laufen.
Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Kolleg*innen und anderen Abteilungen an unterschiedlichen Standorten.
Du legst Wert auf agiles Arbeiten, weißt deine Freiheiten gut zu nutzen und bringst dich selbst mit Ideen ein.

Folgendes erfordert eine Position als DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) für Internal Infrastructure aus unserer Sicht:

Sehr gute Linux Kenntnisse
Gute Programmierkenntnisse in Go und Skriptsprachen wie Bash oder Ruby
Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Flux)
Erfahrung mit CI/CD Umgebungen von Vorteil
Begeisterung für den Observability Stack (Prometheus, Thanos, Opensearch, Jaeger)
Erfahrung im Betrieb von Kubernetes Infrastruktur auf Bare Metal Servern und Cloud Infrastruktur
Solide, verhandlungssichere Englischkenntnisse und gute Deutschkenntnisse
Erfahrung mit Hochverfügbarkeit, Ausfallsicherheit, Skalierbarkeit
Erfahrung mit Gitlab von Vorteil

We are looking for a motivated talent to join our Internal Services team. Thousands of virtual and physical servers are running every day. It is essential that the infrastructure is properly monitored.
In addition to the monitoring infrastructure, we also operate other internal systems with exciting challenges and growing opportunities to improve them.
Become part of a strong team that works remotely within Germany as well as from our office in Munich (Unterföhring) to further enhance our infrastructure.

Deine Aufgaben

As a DevOps Engineer (m/f/x), you will work right at the heart of our infrastructure, which provides metrics, logs and traces for the Hetzner Cloud and other internal systems. You will continuously improve these with your knowledge and ideas.
You know how important automatization is in complex and distributed systems and you enjoy implementing and operating them. This position involves on-call rotations to ensure the smooth operation of our services. Here’s what we will expect from you:

Development of tooling to improve and automate the existing internal infrastructure.
Optimisation and improvement of our infrastructure, which provides metrics, logs and traces for the Hetzner Cloud and other internal systems.
Continuous development of our Kubernetes infrastructure and existing internal infrastructure.
Ensure that our internal services run reliably.
Work closely with developers and other departments in different locations.
You value agile working, know how to make good use of your freedom and contribute your own ideas.

Very good Linux knowledge
Good programming skills in Go and scripting languages such as Bash or Ruby
Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Flux)
Experience with CI/CD environments is an advantage
Enthusiasm for the observability stack (Prometheus, Thanos, Opensearch, Jaeger)
Experience in operating Kubernetes infrastructure on bare metal servers and cloud infrastructure
Solid, business fluent English skills and good German skills
Experience with high availability, resilience, scalability
Experience with Gitlab an advantage
